Life is good, and your thoughts are manageable.

When we first meet, you may be surprised to find that your thoughts seem calmer after our first session together. Therapy is a gift that requires practice and molds the mind, allowing your unhappy thoughts (even the terrifying ones) to dissipate into the air, to be replaced by happy, constructive goals and thoughts.

Whether in-person or via teletherapy, I will be present with you, listening carefully and offering suggestions for healing techniques. Hope you like role-playing, too!

Using Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and people therapy models, I will travel alongside you on your journey to mental health. Click here for an example of some homework you will have in identifying and modifying negative thoughts.

About Michael Goldstein, Esq., LCSW

Counseling is my passion.

I love counseling – both giving and receiving. For over 40 years, I have helped adoptive families utilizing my law and counseling degrees.

The counseling aspect spans a wide range of populations, including tweens, seniors, singles, couples, and multiple family members.

I met my wife at graduate school while working on my Master’s in Social Work, and we have since adopted three children.

As for my own therapy, I see my counselor regularly for counseling and supervision, and I attend Omega Institute, a local retreat center, frequently for meditation and chanting weekends.

Here are some fun facts.

I have one grandchild so far.

I also used to be a Zumba instructor and was awarded Zumba’s highest honor for helping children in orphanages around the world through Zumba programs and fundraisers.
